The Elm Tree Bar offers a comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy a drink and some good food.

Originally opened in 1947 as a Beamish Tied House it has recently been refurbished and opened under new management. Famous for its excellent selection and quality of beverages it offers a variety of food menus including a Carvery/Lunch, Sandwich/Salad Bar and Evening Meal. The Elm Tree offers a large range of facilities and is extremely popular among locals and visitors to the surrounding area.

Situated just off the main Cork-Midleton Road, it is located within minutes of Fota Wildlife Park, Cobh Heritage Centre, the Irish Distillery in Midleton and a number of Cork's most popular golf courses. It is just 15 minutes from Cork City.

The premises boasts a spacious Bar and Lounge with 3 large flat screen televisions, making it an ideal venue for a range of social functions as well as viewing major sporting events. It has a large enclosed Courtyard area, where Barbecues are held throughout the summer. Ample parking is available for patrons.

The Elm Tree is situated only one mile from the gates of Fota Island Golf Club, home to the Murphy's Irish Open 2001/2002.

With its spacious Bar and Lounge the Elm Tree is the perfect venue for a business or family social function.  We are happy to accomodate groups for birthdays, christenings, office outings and other special occasions.

Our Courtyard is ideal for such occasions as family gatherings and corporate barbecues.  We can cater for groups of up to 300 people and also provide outdoor music and entertainment.

But you don't need a special event to come and enjoy yourself, at the Elm Tree.  Our good food, drink and entertainment are available on a continual basis.

Female Nice bar, nice staff, the food is always good but I've stopped going there because of the price. A tenner for lunch from a carvery is too expensive.

Sex Not Specified I was in Midleton for a few days for a wedding last week and, having seen the Elm Tree here, decided to call in for a change of scenery. It's a good pub. We called in on the way back from Cork for a drink and a meal and it was worth the detour. There's a nice feeling to the place. Very relaxed and easy-going. But it was really the menu that attracted us to stop in the first place and this was excellent. They have a really varied menu and it's very reasonable. The pub itself is a bit out of the way (and I'm not sure anyone but locals would find it...we definitely wouldn't have!) but if you're around East Cork it's worth calling in here. - Ryan, England
