Hi, I was at the Dubliner recently as I am a CT local. I walked to the door, got loads of crap from one of the tiresome big black bouncers, had a few words to say and got sucker punched by the big bald white guy who happens to be head of security. No doubt it took one punch to level the punk out (who happened to get no assistance from his staff LOL). the Dubliners attitude is bad! The staff are terrible and the glasses are dirty. Stay away! - Carl, Saffrican

Hi, was just wondering what criteria they use to let people into the Dubliner, i was on holiday recently in Cape Town with my boyfriend, and decided to visit the Dubliner on 6th June 09, but the bouncer at the entrance would not let me in, but he said my boyfriend(who is White) could get in without me. When asked why, he kept saying 'she knows, ask her she knows'. What do i know, i am from Kenya, is it because i am black? do they still discriminate against black people??????? i was decently dressed......what is this reason i should supposedly 'know' - Waridi, Kenya

Cool spot that get's very busy after 10pm when the music starts. Unpretentious and fun with friendly service. Ask for Dave & George behind the bar. Best pint of Guinness in town. Definitely worth a visit. - Chris, England
